Portland Fire & Rescue (PF&R) is the largest fire and emergency services provider in Oregon, serving over 664,000 residents across 151.6 square miles of Portland. Established in 1883, the department operates 31 fire stations strategically located throughout the city to ensure rapid response times. PF&R's services include fire suppression, emergency medical services, water and dive rescues, hazardous materials response, and specialized teams for high-angle, trench, and confined space rescues.
