The Port of Portland Fire Department, stationed at Portland International Airport (PDX), is a specialized fire and emergency services provider dedicated to ensuring the safety of the airport's passengers, crew, and personnel. The department is trained in Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) to respond swiftly to any emergencies involving aircraft. Additionally, they handle structural fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous materials incidents within the airport and its surrounding areas.

The team is equipped with specialized vehicles and equipment designed to operate on and around the airport's runways and facilities. As part of the Port's public safety division, the fire department works closely with other agencies, including the Port of Portland Police and various local fire departments, to ensure a coordinated response to larger-scale emergencies. The department plays a critical role in maintaining PDX's reputation as one of the safest and most efficient airports in the country.
