Lebanon Fire District

Lebanon Fire District serves 30,000 people over 134 square miles around the City of Lebanon in Linn County, Oregon. We are a proud “combination department,” which means we rely on full-time and volunteer emergency personnel to respond to calls. In 2019, the district responded to 6,362 calls for service. These calls included building fires, emergency medical services, wildland fires, hazardous material spills, and rope and technical rescues. We operate out of five fire stations, two of which are staffed 24/7, and three additional volunteer stations.

Our History

The Lebanon Fire District has been serving the community and surrounding areas for over 136 years. Originally formed in 1884 by a group of community minded men, the department was a private organization. At a point which has been lost to time, the City of Lebanon took over fire department operations. Emergency Medical Services became a part of the Lebanon Fire District service in 1967. In 1986 the department, by voter approval, separated from the City of Lebanon and became the Lebanon Rural Fire Protection District. The District is governed by a five member Board of Directors and is organized as an Oregon Special District.
