Established in 1910, the Coos Forest Protective Association is one of the oldest forest protection agencies in Oregon, committed to safeguarding over 1.5 million acres of forest land. The agency's mission is to prevent and suppress wildfires through a combination of education, fire prevention, and rapid response strategies. CFPA works closely with landowners, local communities, and other agencies to ensure effective wildfire management. Their services include fire prevention education, fire suppression, and resource management to maintain healthy forest ecosystems.
